Keiichi Hashimoto, 7th Dan Instructor, is from Saitama Prefecture. He started his career at the age of 5 at Kenseikan Hashimoto Dojo, a dojo on the family estate started by his grandfather. He went on to Teikyo University after attending Keihoku Junior and Senior High School in Tokyo. After graduating from university, he worked for Ida Technos Co., Ltd., a powerful corporate team.
In 2012, he became the first private citizen from Saitama Prefecture to compete in the All Japan Kendo Championships in 53 years, and made it to the top eight in the same year, winning the Outstanding Player Award.
In 2016, he contributed to the team's victory at the All Japan Prefectural Championships (Saitama Prefecture's first victory in 26 years) and was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award.
In 2018, he was selected to compete in the All Japan Kendo Seventh Dan Championships, becoming the first civilian to win the championship in history.
In 2023, he became the oldest participant in the All Japan Kendo Championships and won the Outstanding Player Award.
