A. In principle, items that are in stock will be shipped within 2-3 days after your order and payment are completed.
If you would like your name embroidered, it may take more than a week. Please note that this may vary depending on the busy schedule at that time of year.

Q: Who will be the delivery company?
A. We mainly use Sagawa Express for shipping. Please contact us if you have any preferences.

However, please note that we cannot accept returns on products with embroidered names.
Q: How do I return or exchange an item?
A. If you would like to return or exchange an item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item.
If the return is due to an error on our part (such as a shipping error, a defective or damaged product upon arrival, etc.), we will replace the product at our expense.
If the reason for return is due to customer reasons (e.g., wanting to change the color, wanting to change to a different product, no longer needing the product, etc.), the customer will be responsible for the shipping costs for return and re-shipment.

Q: In what cases can I not return or exchange an item?

About Armor in General
Q. I just started kendo and don't know what equipment I should get.
A. A complete set of protective gear (men, kote, do, tare), a kendo uniform (gi and hakama), a bamboo sword, a tsuba (guard), a tsuba stopper, a bamboo sword bag, a protective gear bag, and a men and tenugui (hand towel).
Depending on the dojo or organization you belong to, policies may vary as to whether you need to purchase everything from the start or only some of the equipment, so we recommend that you follow the instructions when purchasing.
Q. Is there separate protective gear for men and women?
A. Generally, there is no difference between men and women when it comes to protective gear and kendo uniforms.
Regarding bamboo swords, please note that the weight varies depending on age and gender according to the All Japan Kendo Federation's bamboo sword regulations, so please be careful when purchasing.
Q. Can I remove specific items (such as the torso) from an armor set?
A. As the set is purchased at a special price, we cannot accept changes to the set contents. Please contact us first.
Q. I'm worried because the price is lower than other companies.
A. Our main service is mail order, which allows us to keep costs down compared to other companies, such as the management costs of physical stores and labor costs for sales staff.
This is reflected in the affordable prices. Please rest assured that there is no mistake in the quality of the product.
Q: Why are the prices different for similar products?
A. At first glance, the armor may look the same, but the prices vary depending on the materials and processes used for the faceplate and futon core.
Q. Can I change some of the specifications of the armor (such as the dawn light, material, or processing for glasses)?
A. Yes, it is possible. Please feel free to contact us and we will let you know if it is possible and provide you with a price quote.
Q: How do I measure my size?
A. When ordering men and kote, please measure using the measurement method specified by our company.

Q. Can I have my purchased product repaired?
A. Yes, it is possible. The cost will vary depending on the condition of the breakdown and the part of the device that needs repair. We will provide you with a quote, so please contact us first.
Q. I don't know how to attach the strings to the armor.
A. We have prepared instructional videos for beginners of kendo. Here is how to attach the men strings, and here is how to attach the do strings. Please take a look if you are interested.
Q. I don't understand the meaning of 5mm stitching, 3mm stitching, and pitch stitching.
A. The "○mm" in 5mm stitching and 3mm stitching refers to the distance between stitches in machine stitching.
The shorter it is, the stiffer the dough will be.
In addition, pitch stitching uses needles with longer legs than traditional machine stitching, resulting in a softer finish.
Q. Doesn't lightweight armor hurt when you get hit?
A. Because they are lighter, they are more susceptible to damage than conventional products. If you are concerned, please purchase them only for matches.
Q. Is there anything I should do immediately after buying protective gear?
A. The armor is indigo dyed, so the color will fade when you first purchase it. You can reduce the color transfer to your face by wiping the inside of the armor with a tightly wrung out hand towel.
Also, the decorative parts of the mask, such as the inner ring, kote-gashira, and tare, are initially stiff, so you can make them soften more quickly by kneading them well.
Q. Please tell me about repairs after purchasing a product. Will you accept repairs for products purchased from other companies?
A. We also repair products purchased from other companies, but the fees will be different.

Q. I have an unusual body type (obesity, larger face or hands than average, etc.), will it be okay to use a ready-made product?
A. We will make a decision based on the physical information you provide.
If we determine that an off-the-shelf product is not suitable, we will provide you with a quote for a custom size.
Q. Should I use a surface-adjusting futon?
A. Generally, we provide just the right size.
However, for growing children, the size will soon become too small, so we provide a slightly larger surface and can adjust the size using the surface adjustment futon (sold separately).
It also absorbs the impact when you are hit on the men, so it is recommended for beginners and small children who are concerned about pain when they are hit.
However, please be aware that if you put on a face mask with a face adjustment futon inside, there is a high possibility that your vision will become misaligned.
Q. I would like to wear my regular glasses while wearing a mask. Can you customize the mask for me?
A. Yes, we can process your order. Please let us know the product you are considering before purchasing and we will provide you with a quote.
Q. Should I have two pairs of gloves?
A. Yes. Gauntlets are the most susceptible to wear out of all the armor.
If you have two pairs of gloves, you can alternate between them and dry them thoroughly after use, or wash them yourself or have them washed.
The advantage is that the knives last longer. Also, having another pair is a great idea in case of emergency repairs.
If you practice a lot, it is a good idea to bring multiple pairs of kote.
Q. Can I have my name engraved on the body?
A. It is possible to have text engraved on the lining of the body. If you would like to have text engraved, please let us know the desired text, color, and location before purchasing. We will provide you with a quote.
Q. How do I choose a bamboo sword?
A. The characteristics of each type of shinai are explained here . Please choose the product that suits you best.
Q. Can I specify the length of the handle or the weight of the shinai?
A. Yes, it is possible. We can accommodate requests for the length of the patterned leather in 0.5cm increments.
However, please note that we may not be able to meet your request depending on the type of bamboo sword.
We will also adjust the weight to be as close as possible to the weight you specify.
Q. The bamboo sword I just bought broke. Is it a defective product?
A. Please take a photo of the damaged area and provide us with a detailed description of the damage. If we determine that the product is defective, we will replace it free of charge.
Q. Does it have an SSP seal?
A. Yes, we have it on all our shinai.
Q. Can I have my name engraved on my bamboo sword?
A. Yes, we can accommodate your request. Please let us know your preference when placing your order.
Q. If the size of my kendo uniform doesn't fit, can I exchange it?
A. Yes, we can.
However, we cannot exchange items with embroidered names.
Q. Do I need to take shrinkage into consideration when purchasing kendo uniforms and hakama?
A. Yes. Cotton items will shrink by about 1cm, so please take this into consideration when purchasing.
Please note that there is no need to consider shrinkage when it comes to kendo uniforms made from synthetic fibers such as polyester or jersey.
Q. Please tell me about color fading and washing.
A. Kendo uniforms made of jersey or polyester fabrics, and hakama made of terylene (which are chemically dyed), hardly fade at all, so you can fold them, put them in a laundry net, and wash them in the washing machine.
Cotton items will lose color and the indigo dye used in indigo dyeing is weak to alkaline detergents, so wash them in water without using detergent.
Washing it in a washing machine can cause it to lose its shape, damage the fabric, and transfer color to the washing machine drum, so it is best to wash it by hand and dry it in the shade to prevent it from getting sunburned.
