Introducing Tozando's new semi-custom iaido sword, "Tenryu"!

This is an advanced model of the "Toryumon" Iaido sword for beginners.

While offering a wider selection of blades than the "Toryumon," we have kept costs down by limiting the choice of handle wrap to black cotton and sheath coating to black ro or black stone grain, making it possible to offer it at a reasonable price.

The blade is made of sand-cast alloy, and the weight without the sheath is approximately 835g for a standard blade, 785g for a lightweight blade, and 920g for a wide blade, assuming a blade length of 2.45 shaku.

You can choose from the combination of Ajiroi Fuchigashira/Taketora Menuki and Ume Fuchigashira/Sansho Menuki for the Fuchigashira and Menuki.

The tsuba is made of "Sasa-sukashi" (stainless steel: approx. 95g),
"Sharin Chrysanthemum" (stainless steel: approx. 97g),
"Sea Cucumber Openwork" (stainless steel: 104g),
"Higo Mokku" (iron: 135g),

Sword length relative to height

The length of an Iaido sword is generally chosen based on height.
However, the prescribed length and standard length may differ depending on the school or dojo.
We recommend that you ask your instructor before purchasing.

*For women, the standard length is 5 minutes shorter. (For example, if you are 160cm tall, the appropriate length for men is 2 shaku 3 sun, and for women it is 2 shaku 2 sun 5 bu.)

*The appropriate height may vary depending on the style.

Precautions for use

・The blade is secured in place with a nail. If the nail is loose, broken, or damaged, the blade may break or fly off, so be sure to check the nail before use.
・The swords are not designed to be used to fight each other.
- If any abnormality occurs, stop using the product immediately.
- Please note that we cannot guarantee against defects that occur after the product has been modified or damaged by the customer or after use.
・Please refrain from disassembling our Iaido swords.
Unlike real swords, Iaido swords are not made to be disassembled. Removing the nails and hilt can cause parts to become loose.
Also, if you use it while it is loose, it may cause the handle to break.
