This time, our company has cooperated with this production by providing costumes such as kendo armor, hakama, and armor bags . We are honored that our products are being used in the kendo scenes, which play an important role in the production.

Synopsis

Fujiwara Sosuke (Oguri Shun), the heir to the major confectionery manufacturer Futago Confectionery, is so obsessive-compulsive that he can't even shake hands with people. Meanwhile, Lee Hana (Han Hyo-joo), a talented chocolatier, suffers from scopophobia and works as an "anonymous chocolatier," hiding her true identity.

One day, the two meet at the popular chocolate shop "Le Sauvaire." Strangely, they discover that they are the only ones who can touch each other and look into each other's eyes. As the two deepen their relationship as "love practice partners," they begin to awaken to true love.

Hana, who suffers from scopophobia, learns that Hiroshi practices kendo and decides to take up the sport herself. The reason is that "kendo is relaxing because you don't have to take off your mask." For Hana, who is afraid of other people's gazes, kendo, where you can wear a mask and face your opponent, becomes an important tool for opening up.

The kendo equipment provided by our company was used in the kendo scenes in "Anonymous Lovers."

We selected armor that was particular about quality and design so as not to detract from the worldview of the work. We also provided armor that was easy for the actors to wear on set and looked good.

Thoughts on the Kendo scene

In an interview, Oguri Shun said, "During practice, I was able to watch my kendo teachers compete seriously, and I thought it was a very deep world.It's not something that can be easily imitated, even in acting."

Han Hyo-joo also commented, "Kendo was fun. I like to move my body," and apparently she actually practiced kendo as part of her role preparation.

I am grateful to all the actors for their sincere approach to kendo and for their beautiful portrayal of it in the film.
